Oh my goodness! I haven't blogged back in forever!

Just a brief update: I'm still sewing and quilting. I am finishing up some baby dresses from a pattern I found online. I will post when I am done. I'm in process of finishing a precious baby quilt: pale pink, dark pink, and divine mint green with a dash of dotty white is the order of the day! Strawberry shortcake print squares. It's just too sweet!

Hi! This is the new sewing & quilting blog since I had forgotten the password to the old blog and figured it was easier to just open a new one. A lot have happened within few months. I have added sewing clothing to my self-taught repertoire.

Would you believe it if I told you I started learning how to sew little girls clothing after a 4-H sewing project my daughter (let's just call her... "Q") Q wanted to do for a competition. Prior to that, I had NO... I mean... ZERO experience in how to sew a piece of clothing. It's nothing like hand-quilting or machine-quilting but lots of fun once I got the hang of it. I told her we needed to select an easy pattern to use. Naturally, her 9 years old mind started imagining the most fabulous and I mean... the most complicated design. I had to reel her back to earth.

Lol. It was less reeling and more of a compromise. I thought her design needed to be simple and modest (read: appropriate age-wise) so I compromised by changing her strapless to one-shoulder style.

 I think I got out of the project than my daughter actually did. It is all thanks to her that I've started sewing ruffly halter tops and skirts. I think I'm beginning to be obsessed with sewing as I am with quilting! Hoo boy!

I will post some pictures as I go along writing down my thoughts on sewing or quilting. This is just a short Hi and an introduction to the new blog.
